A compact skip suited to smaller jobs. Good for a single room clearout, garden tidy, or getting rid of a few items of furniture and household waste. Roughly equivalent to 30–40 black bin bags.

6 yard

The most commonly hired size for domestic work. Handles a full bathroom clear-out, a moderate garden clearance, or the waste from a kitchen refit comfortably. Around 50–60 bin bags.

8 yard

Suited to larger home renovation projects, full property clearances, or smaller commercial jobs. Can take mixed waste including soil, rubble, timber and general household waste. Around 60–80 bin bags.

12-16 yard

Our largest skips, used for significant building projects, commercial site clearances, and larger renovation works. These are typically placed on site for the duration of a project. If you're managing a big job in Devon or Cornwall, this is usually the skip you need.

Do I need a skip permit?

If your skip is going on private land, such as a driveway or private car park, you don't usually need a permit.

If it needs to go on a public road or pavement, you'll need a permit from the local council. We can advise on this when you book. Permit requirements and costs vary depending on your local authority.
